If I remove all files and re-install the drivers, and reboot as instructed by the prompts; the touchpad will usually work until I put the computer to sleep or restart it. But I managed to get the audio working by installing the reg file and the audio driver: I did this thinking that a start up program was controlling the touchpad since it starts fine in safe mode.
